I think the game is really good. The level detail is great. The lighting was very nice. Down low was all dark and getting out, you see light. Which is cool. However, When climbing up the moving platforms, one of the side walls on the right, was glitching out. Like you may have 2 walls into 1. There is also the secret room, you go into and the spikes don't kill you. The lift is great. However, you have put small colliders around the lift poles. So, when I was waiting too see if the lift would come down, I would go into the lift shaft and I would hit the lift poles. Which would move the character out of place but overall, I think the game is really great.
really like the vibe and atmosphere of the game, level design looks great and the gears are a nice edition to the game, the lift also is really nice, there was a few issues towards the end of the level such as not getting killed by the spikes and gears not collecting properly
The look of the game is appealing. I really liked the theme of the game and the level design is great as it emphasises everything very well. The best thing in your game is the lift. The model, lighting and mechanic of the lift are the best part of the game. Another thing that I liked in the game is the dead zone and lighting of the level. However, I am aware that it is a Pre-Alpha release, but I came across a few issues. Following are the issues I faced as well as a few suggestions for further development:
-You should add a water dripping sound as well show the drip.
-Particles effect needs a little working, as they disappear or appear abruptly at the start
-The animating door slams back even if you are standing in the way
- Moving platforms need to change the target and origin position, as a time comes when they all move together
- A red capsule dies when it comes into touch with the player; this element should be stated beforehand.
-Try different textures on the door
-The player walks into the lift area, and when the lift comes on top of it game freezes, you might add a collider so the player can not go through it.
Lastly, in the last section before getting on the lift, when the player follows the direction denoted by an arrow, in that area I was unable to collect coins.
Overall, the level design looks amazing, especially the lift system. Look forward to playing the final version of the game.
Love the look of the game and the atmosphere off the bat is great. The audio really suits the environment that's been created however I was only able to move left and right in that first little area as the jump only allowed me to go about 1mm into the air. I know that you've pointed that out as a bug already but yeah was a shame I couldn't get past that first jump. Taking into account it's the pre - alpha this looks like the start of a really interesting concept and I can't wait to play the final level build. One other thing which I wasn't sure if you thought about for your final build would be to add some water particle effects to really give that water audio some presence :) - Gabz
oops! thank you for letting me know about the jump, i'll reupload with lower gravity to see if that fixes it as it seems to be different on everyone's laptops :)
